About Ryantel
Built in Nairobi. Trusted with national infrastructure.
Ryantel Systems Limited is an IT systems integrator founded in 2014, headquartered on the 3rd floor of Josem Trust Place, Bunyala Road, Nairobi, with a regional office in Kampala and project delivery extending into Zambia. We design, supply, install and manage technology for organisations across East and Central Africa — from campus networks to national contact centres — and we’re now extending our own fibre network to homes in western Kenya.
The numbers behind that sentence: more than 80 enterprise customers, over 100 network deployments delivered, and 20+ active technology partnerships — built over a decade of doing what we say, documenting what we install, and staying around long enough to maintain it.
Engineered to last. Documented to be inherited.
Every engagement assumes a multi-year horizon. We design with equipment and methods that have proven themselves at scale, hand over with as-built documentation — electronic plans, IP schemas, runbooks — and stay close through SLA and maintenance programmes. We measure ourselves by how long our customers stay with us, not how quickly we can close a sale. Some have been with us on continuous maintenance programmes for more than five years.
Accountability is the product
Most IT companies in Kenya sell equipment. We take responsibility for outcomes. We don’t drop boxes and disappear; most of our enterprise work runs under multi-year support contracts, because keeping systems running — not delivering them — is the part that actually protects your business. One partner, one contract, one team to call.
Licensed, not just registered
Ryantel is licensed by the Communications Authority of Kenya as a Network Facilities Provider (Tier 3) and an Applications Service Provider, and holds a CAK Telecommunications Contractor licence. NFP Tier 3 Compliance Certificate Serial No. 03-01713-00-00-00444. These licences carry obligations — technical standards, compliance reporting, consumer protection — that an unlicensed “IT guy” never has to meet. They’re also why we can build and operate our own fibre network rather than resell someone else’s.
Compliance & certifications
- Communications Authority of Kenya: Network Facilities Provider (Tier 3), Applications Service Provider, and Telecommunications Contractor licences, with current compliance certificates.
- Data protection: registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor — Registration No. 108-092E-8C89. When we handle your members’ records, your patients’ files or your customers’ data, we are accountable under the Data Protection Act, in writing.
- Workplace safety: registered workplace under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 (Certificate No. NRB/0044066/04/26) — the documentation public-sector and enterprise procurement teams expect from contractors working on their premises.
The company profile puts what a procurement team needs in one document: our capabilities, licences and certifications, client track record and contacts. Ask us for certificate copies at any stage of evaluation.
Leadership
Robinson L. Joel, Managing Director, leads the company and personally heads our public sector and strategic accounts. Around him, Ryantel’s delivery and account teams are organised by sector — financial services, education, public sector and energy, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics — so the person who answers knows your industry, your regulators and your peak seasons.

- Network & infrastructure: Cisco, HPE Aruba, Ubiquiti, Huawei, HP, Lenovo, Adaptiv Networks
